The Basculante is Cartier's answer to the Reverso — a reversible case born in 1932 that flips to protect the dial, and the 2390 is the large-format mechanical version collectors actually want. The 050 MC calibre is two millimeters thin, which is why this 38mm watch is barely 5.8mm on the wrist. Discontinued since the 2000s; clean mechanical examples are genuinely scarce.
