The Timepiece

In 1959 JLC built the first alarm diver — the Deep Sea. This 2011 tribute, limited to 959 pieces, recreates it faithfully: 40.5mm steel, black dial, the calibre 956 alarm buzzing behind a solid caseback, and even a period-correct domed plexiglass crystal. The tropic-style strap and steel tang buckle complete the vintage brief. The reissue got everything right, including the soul.
